Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about ordering, accounts, and documentation.

Account & Registration

Why do I need to register to browse the catalog?

We operate exclusively as a B2B supplier. Registration allows us to verify your business identity, provide accurate pricing, and ensure compliance with regulations governing the sale of chemical reagents.

How long does account approval take?

After verifying your email, our team reviews your registration and typically approves accounts within 1 business day. You will receive an email notification once your account is approved.

Why does my email have to be a business address?

We require corporate or institutional email addresses for company accounts to confirm your affiliation. If you are an individual researcher, you may register as an individual and use your academic or personal email.

I didn't receive my verification email. What should I do?

Check your spam/junk folder first. If you still can't find it, return to the login page and use the "Resend verification email" link. Verification links expire after 24 hours.

Catalog & Products

How many compounds are in your catalog?

Our catalog contains over 200,000 compounds spanning pharmaceutical intermediates, building blocks, reference standards, fine chemicals, and specialty reagents.

How do I search for a specific compound?

You can search by compound name, CAS number, catalog number, or molecular formula using the search bar. The catalog also supports filtering by category, purity, availability, and molecular weight range.

What does "HAZMAT" mean on a product?

HAZMAT indicates the compound is classified as a hazardous material and requires special handling, packaging, and shipping documentation. An SDS is always available for hazmat products.

Is a product available if it shows "In Stock"?

Yes, products marked In Stock are physically available at our warehouse. Out of Stock products can still be quoted — delivery times vary by compound.

CoA & SDS Documents

What is a Certificate of Analysis (CoA)?

A CoA is a document that certifies the quality and purity of a specific batch of a compound. It includes analytical test results, lot number, expiration date, and signatures from our quality department.

What is a Safety Data Sheet (SDS)?

An SDS (formerly MSDS) provides detailed information on chemical hazards, safe handling procedures, first aid measures, storage requirements, and disposal methods. SDS documents follow the GHS/OSHA format.

Why do download links expire so quickly?

For security and compliance reasons, document download links are valid for 60 seconds from the moment they are generated. This prevents unauthorized sharing of links. You can always generate a new download link from the product page.

Can I request a CoA for a specific lot number?

Yes. Contact our quality team at quality@chem-gold.com with the catalog number and lot number, and we will provide the corresponding CoA.

Quotation Process

How do I request a quotation?

Browse the catalog, click "Add to Quote" on each product you are interested in, then go to the Quote page to complete your request. You can add multiple products in one quote request.

How long does it take to receive a quote?

We respond to all quote requests within 1 business day. Urgent requests (select "Urgent" in the form) are prioritized and typically receive a reply within 4 business hours.

Can I order directly from the website?

We currently operate on a quotation basis — pricing and availability are confirmed directly via email after your quote request. This allows us to provide accurate pricing based on quantity, purity grade, and current stock.

Shipping & Export

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship to over 80 countries. Some compounds may be restricted in certain regions due to export regulations. Please specify your delivery country in the quote request and we will confirm availability.

Do you handle export documentation?

Yes. We provide all necessary export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, dangerous goods declarations (where applicable), and country-specific import permits upon request.

What are your minimum order quantities?

Minimum order quantities vary by compound. Standard packaging sizes are listed on each product page. For bulk orders or custom packaging, please contact our team.
