N-(5-aminopentyl)-5-(dimethylamino)naphthalene-1-sulfonamide
Monodansylcadaverine is a sulfonamide obtained by formal condensation of the sulfo group of 5-(dimethylamino)naphthalene-1-sulfonic acid with one of the amino groups of cadaverine. It has a role as a protective agent, a fluorochrome and an EC 2.3.2.13 (protein-glutamine gamma-glutamyltransferase) inhibitor. It is a sulfonamide, an aminonaphthalene, a primary amino compound and a tertiary amino compound. It is functionally related to a cadaverine.
